Our Story

A Touch of Class Boutique was founded by Helen Mullins in March 1987. Originally located in Dublin Street, we moved to 5 Hanover Court, Kennedy Avenue 18 years ago.

The name of the shop came from Helen’s father Seamus Hughes, who was a horse breeder and loved a small mare who had won individual and team gold medals at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984.

Our aim is to handpick pieces that reflect timeless style, comfort and confidence as every woman deserves to feel seen, celebrated and stylish.

Over the years generations of women have walked through our doors, each finding not only something beautiful to wear, but a place where they felt welcome.

Our mission is to make every woman feel confident, honouring classic elegance and style.

Welcome to our story, we are so glad you are part of it.

Helena, Helena & Maria,

A Touch of Class Carlow.
